Thank a Veteran/Thankful to be an American!

I want to give a big thank you to all the men and women who are serving, have served, and especially to all the ones that lost their lives fighting for our rights and our freedoms.
Over the holiday weekend it hit me harder than ever that I am really proud to be an American.

Also with everything being on the news about all the illegal immigrants trying to cross the border.  All for the American dream! We all should be thankful that were not in there position or even in a worst position than those illegal immigrants.

I'm thankful to be an American, You should be to!!

NEXT TIME YOU SEE A PERSON IN UNIFORM, PLEASE THANK THEM!

God Bless America!!

My Best Friend!

This is Ozzy Timmerman, sometimes called OZ or the black and white child.  He is my best friend and will always be my best friend.  We are always together no matter what, even laying on my toes as I'm writing this.  I can almost guarantee he has been in Union City Junior/Senior High School at least ten times.  If you know me well, then you already know about him because he has been in almost every speech and every conversation I have ever had.  This four legged friend/brother has taught me so much. The top two things he has taught me are responsibility and patience. I personally believe that sometime in a teens life they should take on the responsibility of having a pet that is all their own. They could have a fish if nothing else.  With everything there comes struggles and challenges. Having Ozzy can be real challenge sometimes. He looses hair like it's his job, won't bring the tennis ball/frisbee back, and he barks and whines until you let him in or out of the house.  But that's what teaches you responsibility, and patience.  Along with all those challenging times, there are just as many great times. I have many memories with that dog that are just between him and I. There are many important memories between him and the rest of my two legged family too. He has become the most popular person out of everyone in the family. When everyone is going to bed they will wish Ozzy goodnight but for some reason forget about me when I'm sitting five feet away.  Anyways, since we found him as a puppy, he has always been there for me. I can say that one of the things I will miss most when I head off to college, is those two brown eyes and that never slowing down of his black tail with that ridiculous white tip!  I love you Ozzy!!

p.s.- without Ozzy I'm going to have to find something else to use as a chick magnet. Lol
